PROPELLER DIMENSIONS

EXAMPLE WITH A PROPELLER WITH A NOMINAL DIAMETER OF 16"

The diameter is measured at 100 mm (approx.4″) behind the reference point which is the front of the propeller The front side coincides with the beginning of the cone as is the case for all types of propellers.

NB: Do not forget to check that the available space is sufficient at all angles of the bar of the rudders with inclined wick.

NB: The maximum diameter on the outside of the blades is about 13 mm (1/2″) larger than the nominal diameter of the propeller. When running the engine or reversing, the maximum blade diameter is approximately 100 mm (4″) behind the front of the propeller. Example: A 16″ diameter propeller with a nominal diameter measures 161/2″ on the outside of blades as shown above. The blade depicted in this diagram is in flag.
